Family Promise Info & Training
For the past ten years, Family Promise of Greater Modesto, an affiliate of Interfaith Hospitality Network, has had its offices and day center in Rooms 7 and 8 of our Christian Education wing. Family Promise provides housing and meals for families with children who are homeless, with the aim of helping them to find permanent housing. Four or five weeks out of the year, we host Family Promise guests in the Gathering Place and provide meals and fellowship. During these weeks, it takes a dedicated group of volunteers to set up beds, cook dinners, eat with the guests, and stay overnight. Here is your chance to learn more about this important program! On August 9, right after worship, Tamra Losinski, Executive Director of Greater Modesto Family Promise, will be here to present an informational video and answer questions about the program.
