shares information and invites dialogue on the theme of death and moving forward after a loved one dies.

Annual Conference – July 3-7

Each year the Brethren churches send delegates for business items, discussion, learning and of course, fellowship!

Outreach Affaire

The first ever Annual Outreach Affaire will be held at the Modesto Church of the Brethren on 9/18/2010 from 5:00pm-8:00pm to benefit our local community outreach efforts.

Come and enjoy an evening of chocolate fountains, delectable desserts, hors d’ouevres and bid on some items in our silent auction. Hear more about what we work to accomplish in this area and how we are doing it. Tickets going on sale soon so stay tuned for more information!

Garage Sale

The church will be hosting a Garage Sale 7/31/2010 from 7:00am-1:00pm on church grounds. All proceeds will benenfit the local community outreach efforts we work with.

Each member of the church can bring up to 20 items per person that are in good, working and/or wearable condition to be sold at the garage sale. You can drop off your items to the church between 7/25/2010-7/29/2010. If you have large items that you would like to donate, please bring them on 7/30/2010. If you do not have a truck to transport the large item(s), please contact the office by 7/28/2010 so that we can schedule a pick up truck for your item(s). or sign up in the office to let us know what your items are.

Peace Camp: Peace Between Us (6/13-6/17)

Register youth ages 3 years old to completion of 8th grade to participate in VBS Peace Camp this year themed “Peace Between Us”. Camp will run 6/13-6/17 from 6:00pm-8:10pm each night.

Please mail form to the church office by June 7th orJune 13th. Advance registration helps us in our planning, but please come even if you haven’t registered in advance.

The cost is $10 per participant. This fee includes a tshirt, activities, snacks, and a closing event that your whole family is invited to attend. If you have questions, please call the church office at 523-1438.

Skate Nite Build Day

As part of our Skate Nite program, the youth who skateboard get to design and help build what equipment they want to skate on!

Come tell us your ideas, bring plans, and get ready to skate! Our next building days will be:

Wednesday June 2nd from 3:30pm-5:30pm & Saturday June 12th from 9:00am-11:00am.

Just bring a registration form completed by an adult (found under Activities).

Skate Nite Kick Off

Wednesdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm we will block off part of the church parking lot for our local skateboarders to use on equipment that they design! This will occur every Wednesday through June and if the kids like it, many more will come!

All equipment will be built with supervision on Build Days (next one is 5/22 from 9am-11am in the church parking lot).

Come and join us, just have an adult fill out a registration form (found under Activities) and bring a helmet!

Feel free to stay for dinner @ 6:00pm as well! All are welcome!
