Caregiving Training Event

Consider a great opportunity to explore how we can care for one another better

You don’t have to be a deacon to consider the Association of Brethren Caregivers event at our church on Saturday, April 19th from 9 a.m. until about 4 p.m.. If you are curious about the ministry of deacons, or if you simply work at being present to persons in a number of ways and situations as a part of your ministry as you live day to day, you would appreciate and benefit from this day. We start with worship together, move into a plenary session with a keynote address, and then also move into workshops before and after lunch on: The Hospitality of Presence, Keys to Successful Care giving, End-of-Life Living with Grace and Purpose, and The Legacy and Characters of Care giving. We end the day with a closing worship, and lunch is included with your $20 fee.

If you would like to attend this event, please call the church office to let us know, and to obtain a registration form. The form and your fee need to be mailed to The Association of Brethren Caregivers, and we can help you with that in the office. We need to know if you are attending by the end of the week, (Friday, April 4, 2008)

We are really looking forward to this time of growing in our understandings of being in ministry with others.

Marye Martinez, Deacon Chairperson

Pastor Erin Matteson, Pastoral Liaison to the deacons
